今天我们来说一下词义1，熟词生义，所以熟词生义指的是同一个词出现在不同语境中会产生词义变化，好，我们先来看两个句子：
1.You were lucky to be granted credits for that course.
2.I applied to my local council for a granted.
大家根据这两句话能判定出它词义差别吗？好，我们来说一下，在上一个视频中，我们有讲过credit表示名词学分，在这granted credits是给学分，相当于give作为动词使用，而在第二句话中大家可以发现，apply fora agranted它指的是助学金，主要是帮助一些有困难的学生，资助他学习，而我们在学校里面还可以申请的有两种，叫奖学金，本科阶段申请叫scholarship，如果你是研究生阶段申请叫fellowship，那这两个主要是给学习成绩比较优异的学生。
